Dear friends,

I am Dmitry, and I would like to share with you my personal journey of living with psoriasis. It has been a challenging road, filled with ups and downs, but through my experiences and experiments, I have gained valuable insights that I believe can help others in their own psoriasis battles.

My story began in 2005, when I was involved in a car crash accident. Little did I know that this life-altering event would mark the beginning of a long and arduous struggle with psoriasis. It was approximately a year after the accident that the first symptoms of psoriasis appeared on my skin. I found myself dealing with relentless itching, redness, and those unsightly scaly patches. It was a difficult time for me, both physically and emotionally.

As fate would have it, during my hospitalization, I received high doses of antibiotics to combat potential infections resulting from the accident. Looking back, I started wondering if there could be a connection between the antibiotics and the onset of my psoriasis symptoms. Could the medication have disrupted my gut microbiome, laying the groundwork for this stubborn skin condition? That realization ignited a spark within me—a determination to explore the intricate relationship between gut health and psoriasis.

With this newfound curiosity, I embarked on a quest for answers. I delved into scientific research, voraciously devouring studies and articles related to psoriasis and gut health. The more I learned, the more convinced I became that my gut was a key player in this intricate puzzle.

My early experiments were rather broad, as I ventured into the world of natural remedies. I started by incorporating kombucha, a fermented tea known for its probiotic content, into my daily routine. While it provided some relief, it was clear that I needed a more focused approach. Turmeric, with its anti-inflammatory properties, also found its way into my arsenal. I would meticulously brew my own turmeric concoctions, hoping for a breakthrough. Additionally, I explored the potential benefits of apple cider vinegar, with its reputation for supporting digestive health. Although these interventions provided temporary respite, they were not the definitive solution I was seeking.

Undeterred, I continued my search, digging deeper into the scientific literature and drawing inspiration from others who had walked a similar path. It was during this time that I stumbled upon the idea of using antibiotics to target the harmful bacteria that might be exacerbating my condition. Through careful research and consultation with medical professionals, I embarked on a well-informed journey of antibiotic treatment. I documented my experiences and findings in a dedicated post.

My experimentation didn’t stop there. I ventured into the realm of bacteriophages, seeking their potential in addressing the root cause of my psoriasis. This avenue showed promise, providing some relief and improvement in my symptoms. However, as I would soon discover, sustaining the progress required a more comprehensive approach.

Eager to explore further, I explored dietary interventions. For three months, I embraced a carnivore diet, combining it with the antibiotic treatment, oregano oil, and bile acids. Remarkably, this combination yielded some of the best results I had experienced. I was able to reintroduce foods that were once major triggers for my psoriasis, such as gluten and dairy, without triggering flare-ups. For a blissful period of six months, I felt symptom-free. However, the journey of living with psoriasis is never linear, and eventually, the condition started to creep back into my life.

Through this series of posts, I will delve deeper into each experiment, treatment, and lifestyle change that I have encountered on my journey. I will provide dedicated posts with in-depth information on kombucha, turmeric, and apple cider vinegar. These posts will outline my experiences, the research behind each approach, and their effectiveness in managing psoriasis symptoms.

I invite you to join me on this exploration of possibilities, where we can learn together and support one another in our quest to beat psoriasis. I am not a medical professional, but I hope that by sharing my personal journey, it can serve as a source of inspiration and empower you to make informed decisions about your own health.

Psoriasis is a complex condition, and what works for one person may not work for another. Our bodies are unique, and finding the right approach requires patience and perseverance. It is my sincere hope that by sharing my experiences and the knowledge I have acquired, we can unlock new insights, discover potential solutions, and provide support for each other along the way.

Stay tuned for the upcoming posts where we will dive deeper into each experiment and treatment. Let’s embark on this journey together, as we strive to unravel the mystery of psoriasis and pave the way for a life of improved well-being.

Warm regards,

Dmitry
